What is lumbago?
Lumbago is another term for the pains we usually experience from the lower region of our back. This pain can grow from mild to severe depending on the cause of your lumbago. All of us are prone to experience this. Although this condition is often experienced by aged people, lumbago can appear to anyone, no matter how young you may be. The chronic pain we often feel from the area of our lower back is just one of the common symptoms of lumbago. There are some cases that this pain can also be felt down to the patient’s thigh and legs or areas in-between such as their buttocks or groin.
What are the common causes of lumbago?
There are many factors that can cause our body to suffer lumbago. One of the most common and probably the most inevitable causes of this condition is the aging of our body. You see, as our body aged, our bones losses nutrients that make them degenerates. This destroys the alignment of our bone and forced them to add pressure to our nerves, which results to terrible pain.

Lumbago can really make you live the rest of your life miserable. The pain from this condition can be very hard to deny, which can directly interfere with your day-to-day activities. Lumbago can weaken your legs and limits the movements of your body. You may also experience tingling or numbness from the areas of your lower back, buttocks or lungs. Whenever lumbago attacks, it can spasm the muscles around our spine, which causing our muscles to tighten. This painful condition can cause us to experience stiffness in our neck and affects our good posture. Aside from aging, people can also suffer this condition from improper training, too much workout, sudden strain we get from accident and tumor.
How this condition should be treated?
The great thing about lumbago is that you can do a lot of remedies to manage this kind of pain. There are several treatments and natural remedies you can try to ease the pain of your lumbago. Some of the most common lumbago treatment alternatives are the use of heat therapy, application of cold compress, acupuncture therapy, performing regular yoga exercises and all other natural therapies. Lumbago pain can also be reduced through taking pain killing pills prescribed by your doctor or undergoing a certain surgery. However, these methods are very risky and should be performed by a certified specialist.
